1916 Junichi MORITA establishes the MORITA Dental Company in Kyoto, Japan.
1927 MORITA Dental Company establishes the Ishibashi Factory for the manufacture of dental equipment and begins manufacture of the "Unit A", the first dental treatment unit made in Japan.
1943 The J. Morita Mfg. Corp. builds a factory in southern Kyoto, at the site where it is still located.
1959 Development and manufacture of the "Air Jet", a ball bearing, high speed dental handpiece.
1964 Introduction of the epoch-making "Spaceline", a comprehensive dental treatment unit designed for the latest treatment concept where the patient is supine and the dentist seated.
1967 Development of the "Astron" dental handpiece, an air bearing instrument with a top speed of 500,000 rpm. Also introduction of the "Panex", our first dental panorama x ray unit.
1979 Introduction of the "Veraview", a direct current dental panorama x ray unit. |
